Berekum Chelsea and Black Stars’ striker, Emmanuel Clottey has signed a three-year deal with Tunisian top flight side Esperance Sportif de Tunis.
The former Accra Great Olympics, Tema Youth and Eleven Wise attacker will however be available for the Blood and Gold side in December.
The goal enforcer is reported to have cost the reigning African champions US$ 1.5 million.
Clottey arrived in Tunis on Monday after playing a part in Ghana’s 2-0 win over Malawi last Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Clottey, who has 12 goals to his name in the 2012 CAF Champions League, would be eligible to play in the FIFA Club World Cup should Esperance defend their title.
Esperance will be Emmanuel Clottey’s third club outside the shores of Ghana after failing to leave up to expectation at Austrian club FC Wacker Innsbruck and Danish side Odense Boldklub four seasons ago.
Clottey joins Ghanaian compatriot, Harrison Afful who is in his third season at the Blood and Gold side.
