The United Front Party (UFP) has disclosed plans of organizing a National Delegate Congress to elect a flagbearer for the December polls.
This follows the dismissal of the party’s 2008 flag bearer, Akwasi Addai, on charges of disloyalty, misappropriation of funds amongst others.
The party’s Chairman, Nana Agyenim Boateng, told Gold News the congress will be held on September 29 and has refuted suggestions in sections of the media that, the dismissed flag bearer has filed for an injunction to prevent the party from organizing the congress.
He noted that, article 6 of the party’s constitution talks about discipline and sanctions adding that anybody who flaunts the party’s image is subjected to sanctions.
Nana Agyenim Boateng is further called on Ghanaians not to deal with Mr. Akwasi Addai in the party’s name emphasizing that he is no longer a member of the party.
