President Mahama begins his G/A ‘thank you tour’ with a call to guarantee a peaceful and transparent election

President John Dramani Mahama has begun his tour of the Greater Accra Region with a guarantee that his government will ensure free and fair elections come December 7.
The two day tour will conclude the nationwide thank you tour undertaken by the President to thank the chiefs and people of the ten regions of the country for the love and support they showed during the funeral of President John Evans Atta Mills.
The President’s first point of call was at Prampram where he visited the family home of the former first Lady Dr. Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills to thank her family members for their support.
Speaking to the chiefs and people of Prampram, President Mahama expressed his gratitude to the late President Mills for giving him the avenue to learn the virtues of humility, modesty and patience in all situations.
At Ashiaman, the President made a whistle stop over to thank the chiefs and people of the area amidst a warm welcome from residents.
The President will proceed to Teshie, Nungua and other parts of the Greater Accra Region on his ‘thank you tour’ to show appreciation to the chiefs and people of the region.
