Criticisms keep pouring in after almost a month of calling on Muslims to reject the Presidential candidate and Running-mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Moctar Bamba at the party’s Campaign launch few weeks ago said because the NDC has filled two Christians as their presidential and vice candidate for the elections, no Muslim should vote for the party.
Many Muslims felt that Alhaji Bamba was indirectly insulting them and insinuating that they only vote on religious basis.
Some Muslim leaders, opinion leaders and ordinary Muslims have since been reacting to this call by Alhaji Bamba.
Latest to criticize is the NPP National Organizer is Member of Parliament for Madina Abokobi Constituency, Alhaji Amadu Sorogho.
He described Moctar Bamba’s statement as an insult to the Muslim community, the Madina MP stressed that they are determined to retaining the NDC in power.
Member of Parliament for Madina Abokobi Constituency, Alhaji Amadu Sorogho further indicated that Ghanaians are poised to ensure violence free elections come December 2012.
