Chairman of the Parliament Committee on Works and Housing David Assuming Tetteh has described as unfortunate concerns raised by Policy Think Tank IMANI Ghana over government’s new housing deal.
Â
Â
IMANI Ghana is questioning government’s new housing deal with Ghanaian company, Italconstruct International to build a little over 4,000 housing units for public servants and another1,000 housing units for the security services by aNigerian company, Snecou Group which is partnering the State Housing Company.
Â
However Chairman of the Parliament Committee on Works and Housing and MP for Shai OSU Doku, David Assuming Tetteh says the line being towed by IMANI Ghana is unfortunate.
Â
According to him the committee is yet to arrive at a report hence he is at a loss how the Policy Think Tank is raising red flags about the two housing deals.
Â
He indicated that instead of criticizing the committee IMANI Ghana should present its proposals and concerns to the committee for deliberation and consideration.
