The Electoral Commission has extended the voter exhibition exercise in the Ashanti Region to Friday in areas where registers were not received on time.
The late delivery of the voters register in the 10 exhibition centers in parts of the region generated anxiety among political parties especially the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Though the EC is yet to announce its plans for the rest of the country, the Ashanti Regional Director of the EC Samuel Tettey said he has directed the district officers to extend the exercise by four days.
According to him voters in the Bosomtwe electoral area will also be given the chance to check their details from the register adding that his outfit will ensure that the date will be publicised to create awareness in the region.
