Management and staff of Radio Gold 90.5 will hold a vigil on Thursday August 9 in memory of the late President of the Republic of Ghana, Prof. John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills.
The Business Development Manager of Radio Gold, Mr. Richard Agyapong made this known on Gold Power Drive on Thursday that the vigil is to appreciate the love the late president had for the station adding that “he granted us the longest interview ever when he became president”.
The vigil will begin at 7:00 pm with poetry recitals, songs and tributes from the public in memory of the late president Mills.
There will be cultural, choral and reggae performances as well as a dirge to showcase the life of the late president. The vigil will be climaxed with lighting of candles.
Anyone who has a poem or tribute should come to the front desk of Radio Gold and register before the vigil begins.
This effort is to recognize the public and our listeners for the numerous tributes they have sent since the death of the president. Hence the vigil is open to the general public.
