The Office of Former President Rawlings has assured the family of late President John Evans Atta Mills that he (Rawlings) had no ill motive in the comments he made on the demise of the late leader on the BBC network.
A statement issued by the office in Accra on Friday said: “President Rawlings wishes to assure the family of the late President Mills that he retains a healthy respect for the contributions that President Mills made to the country of Ghana and the NDC party.
“Any misunderstanding or misrepresentation of the statements on BBC is therefore regretted”, the statement said in response to a statement issued by the family of the late President.
