Mother of brain cancer victim, Juliana Oates pledges to support children affected with brain cancer

A mother of a brain cancer victim, Juliana Oates, has pledged her commitment to support children who are affected and diagnosed with brain cancer.

The victim, Akua Adoma died of brain tumor at the age of 17 after being diagnosed with the cancerous disease at the korle-bu teaching hospital.

In this regard, her mother who is also the president of the Akua Memorial Hope Foundation said the vision of her daughter was to form a foundation to cater for such children suffering from brain cancer but unfortunately she did not survive to make that dream a reality, hence the formation of the foundation in memory of her late daughter.

There will be a walk to launch the foundaation. The walk will start on Saturday 28th July at 6am from Obra Spot to the Osu Cemetery where the tomb of Akua Adoma will be unveiled.

The official launch willl be on Sunday 29th July at the Osu Presby Hall with the guest speaker being the deputy minister of health Mr. Rojo Mettle Nunoo.
