Stakeholders in the tourism sector upbeat about the tourism potential at the Asomdwe park

Stake holders in the tourism sector are confident about the tourism potential of the burial site of President Mills.

They are of the view that since the grounds saw a lot of visitors after the burial of the president, it is an indication of the viability of its tourism potential.

 

 Deputy Minister of Tourism, Baba Jamal told Gold Business Report finishing touches will be done at the site to enhance domestic tourism in the country.

He said the tourism sector will ensure that the Asomdwe Park does not only become a domestic tourist site but look for ways to make it one of the monuments that the country will be proud of.

Mr. Jamal also indicated that since President Mills’ burial site will be a Presidential Mausoleum, the tourism potential in that area will be enormous in the near future saying “Prof. Mills had a lot of books and works to his credit” hence the need the preserve his achievements for the future generation.
