The Supreme Court Is Not Above The Law

The Supreme Court ruling of Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in the review case against businessman, Alfred Woyome has come as a surprise to us and many others. Unsurprisingly, several legal luminaries we have been talking to have also expressed disquiet at the ruling.
They variously described the court’s ruling as "nouvelle", "unprecedented", " far-reaching", "curious", “ a human rights infringement” and "dictatorial". They opined that the right to a fair trial and the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court has been sacrificed on the altar of populism and expediency by the ruling.

A Solemn Advice To NPP Flag-Bearer Contestants

How does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his life? Nothing! With this in mind, I shall advise the NPP flag-bearer contestants with their supporters inclusive, to behave professionally responsibly throughout their entire campaign to win the hearts and souls of the NPP delegates. Taking unnecessary digs at your opponents will not yield you the desired results. Insults and lies told about your rivals will never garner you enough votes to win the flagbearership.

The NPP has been its own enemy for some time now and it was such a good news for some of us at the grass root when there was a near complete over haul at the very top where we had the likes of Jake, Sir John, Oware, Bamba, etc take a bow from office.

Ibn Chambas Got It Wrong On EPA

I just had an opportunity to listen to the full address you gave at the Prof Mills' anniversary lecture. You deserve commendations for that splendid performance but I still have issues with certain aspects of your address. I have already expressed my reservations about the lean government aspect as well as the 200 asylum seekers, linked to the economic quagmire.
