SADA has come to stay-Felix Kwakye Ofosu

Member of the Government’s Communication Team, Felix Kwakye Ofosu says the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) has come to stay to improve the lives of people in the 3 Northern Regions of the country.

According to him claims by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NDC), Nana Akuffo Addo and his Running-mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia that SADA has failed under the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a way to throw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians.

Speaking on Radio Gold’s Current Affair’s Programe, Alhaji and Alhaji, Felix Kwakye Ofosu noted that SADA has received more funds than what was promised in the NDC’s 2008 manifesto adding that the project has received 260 million Ghana cedis.

He said the opposition NPP is only looking for an avenue to ratify the lies they told the people of the 3 Northern Regions in their 2000, 2004 and 2008 manifestos.

In the area of job creation, Felix Kwakye Ofosu noted that 5 million trees will be planted under SADA which will mean that about 5000 people will be employed to plant the trees, hence creating jobs for the people of the north.

He also indicated that SADA in collaboration with Avanash Company is scheduled to put up affordable houses for the people in the north as compared to utopian promises made by the NPP in the 2004 manifesto which is being repeated in the 2012 manifesto.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu further noted that with the establishment of the Gas Processing plant to supplement hydro-electric power, industries in the country will reduce cost of electric power by 2/3, hence an increase in export and the standard of living.
