Mills taught me what no professor can teach me-Ludwig Akpene Hlodze

National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ludwig Akpene Hlodze has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late President Mills.

In an interview on Gold Power Drive on Friday, Ludwig Hlodze indicated that he met the president when he was a sports man in 1989 adding that “in 1996 when President Mills was nominated as the Vice Presidential candidate for the NDC, I travelled with him on almost all his campaign tours”.

He further disclosed that he worked with the late president as a special assistant noting that “what I have learnt from him cannot be taught by any professor in any university in Ghana. He taught me how to be truthful and not to attack anybody on his behalf”.

Ludwig Hlodze also asserted that the humble nature of the late president was obvious admonishing that “when I travel with him, we sleep in the same room even when I try to give him a special room, he objects to the idea”.

“Throughout his office as Vice President, I saw receipts of his salary which showed that it was channeled to the Osu Children’s Home for charity”, he added.
